Water Management
Water uptake by plants is a real concern and can have detrimental effects on crop yields.
APSA-80 significantly aids in crop water management. This non-ionic surfactant helps reduce surface tension of water, allowing it to spread more evenly on the plant and penetrate effectively in the soil. When added to irrigation water or used in conjunction with other crop management practices, APSA-80 can provide significant benefits.
BENEFITS:
Improved water infiltration: By reducing the surface tension of water, APSA-80 allows it to penetrate the soil more easily, reaching plant roots more effectively. This can lead to better water utilization by crops, reducing the need for excessive irrigation and decreasing water waste.
Enhanced nutrient uptake: APSA-80 can improve the ability of plants to absorb essential nutrients from the soil. This increased nutrient uptake can lead to healthier plants and higher crop yields, reducing the need for additional fertilizers and other inputs.
Improved pesticide efficacy: When used as an adjuvant with pesticides, APSA-80 can enhance their effectiveness by increasing the coverage and penetration of the herbicide, fungicide, and insecticide. This can lead to a reduced need for additional pesticide applications.
Reduced runoff and erosion: With better water infiltration and more even distribution, the use of APSA-80 can help to minimize surface runoff and erosion, which can be particularly beneficial in areas with sloping fields or heavy rainfall. By reducing the amount of water that runs off the surface of the soil, farmers can conserve valuable water resources and reduce the potential for nutrient leaching and pollution of nearby waterways.
Cost savings: By improving water infiltration and nutrient uptake, APSA-80 can help farmers reduce their reliance on costly inputs like water, fertilizers, and pesticides. These cost savings can make a significant difference to the profitability of farming operations.
Used as either a surfactant or soil amendment, APSA-80™ will make every drop of water count by spreading the water, helping with penetration, activating, and helping the product stick to the plant. APSA-80™, which has been tested and proven to relieve soil compaction...and move water through the soil more effectively, is also a soil management tool. Tests by the Irrigation Research Foundation have shown a 44.4% increase in water flow downward into the soil, a 70.5% increase in sorptivity (how effectively water binds to the particles of the soil and disperses moisture equally throughout the profile), and a 17.2% decrease in hydraulic conductivity (the pressure needed to move water through the profile) with the use of this product.
Increased Weed Control
APSA-80 functions as an activator for herbicides and other chemicals applied, increasing the effectiveness of post-emergent herbicides.
This farmer always had standing water on both sides of this tree line, until he applied APSA-80 at 32 oz/acre on the left side of this tree line.
APSA-80™ adjuvant decreases the surface tension of water to help maximize the results of weed and pest control products. It also aids soil penetration for more effective and efficient irrigation, even in compacted soil.
